There’s an addition to the numerous weight loss programs available today. It has been said that Miki Ryosuke, a Japanese actor, has created a new diet program known as the Long Breath Diet.

The diet doesn’t require making any changes in your eating habits. Those who want to adopt this diet have to do vigorous breathing exercise for at least 2 to 5 minutes.

Ryosuke said that he developed this diet by accident.  He has done breathing exercises to get some respite from back pain.

While performing the exercises, he was able to dropped around 13 kilos and got slimmer by 5 inches round his waist.  It took him a couple of months to lose the weight.

The workout consists of 2 types of exercise.  It has been said that the exercises need one to squeeze his glutes the moment he inhales and exhales.

The idea behind this diet is two-fold. First off, it engages and thus tones your abs. Secondly, it improves your metabolism by increasing oxygen in the blood.

For those who are looking for a cheap way to lose weight, then the Breath Diet can be a good option. Read more from Daily Mail

If you are struggling to stick to a diet of carrot sticks and lettuce leaves, news of the latest weight loss technique to be sweeping Japan could be music to your ears.

Former actor, Miki Ryosuke, claims to have lost two stone and five inches from his waist in seven weeks by following his Long Breath Diet.

Mr Ryosuke, 55, claims that followers of the diet just have to spend two minutes a day concentrating on taking long breaths and then exhaling aggressively.

Seems too good to be true, isn’t it? That is because it probably is. Even though, research has found that oxygen does play a huge role in losing weight, this is nothing to do with fat cell oxygenation.

Once we exercise, we’re using oxygen within the muscle tissue, and this result in energy burn as well as weight loss. However, breathing vigorously or deeply for 2 minutes daily will not work. Losing weight do requires exercise.

Although breathing a bit deeper will not cause you any harm, just do not expect significant results.
