The Dangerously Fit Certificate 4 Master Functional Trainer Certification (MFT) is the gold standard of vocational fitness education in Australia. You’ll gain all the skills, qualifications and training you need to stand out in the fitness industry and separate yourself from your competition.

The MFT Certification includes everything taught in the Certificate 3 (SIS30315) and Certificate 4 (SIS40215) courses, plus you’ll also receive our Functional Strength Coach Certification which includes an additional 10 functional training certifications including; Kettlebells Level 1 and Level 2, Steel Clubs Level 1 and Level 2, Bulgarian Bags, Steel Mace, Suspension Training and more.

We’re the only fitness education provider in Australia (and perhaps the World) to offer all these additional certifications as part of a Certificate 4 in Fitness Certification!

In addition to the online learning platform, gym-based practicals that show you how to confidently coach clients inside a real gym, our additional short courses provide you with a plethora of tools allowing you to work in a large variety of work environments boosting your confidence and helping you to become a successful personal trainer.

The MFT Certification will truly help you to hit the ground running to set up your own fitness business or find a rewarding job role within the fitness industry. In addition to hands on gym based face-to-face practical workshops, you’ll also discover how to design and execute effective group training such as indoor functional training and outdoor boot camps, one-on-one personal training and semi-private fitness training incorporating a selection of specialist functional strength training equipment.

Functional fitness and unconventional strength training has become very popular and is now used by fitness professionals to help their clients achieve weight loss goals, improve athletic performance and build strength.

Study for the MFT Certification can be done online with the support from our tutors, or by attending face-to-face practical workshops at one of our training campuses.

Units of Competency

The Certificate 4 in Fitness (SIS40215) Qualification includes 20 units of competency covering everything from instructing personal training programs, supporting healthy eating through the Eat for Health Program and instructing long-term exercise programs.

After you have successfully completed the Certificate 4 in Fitness (SIS40215) you will gain access to an additional 10 functional training certifications.

Study Pathway

Following graduation of this course, you may wish to consider furthering your learning pathway through a university course in health and sport science.

Career Pathway

Once you graduate from this course you will have the skills and knowledge to be competent in an plethora of roles with the fitness industry which includes;  working independently in an variety of activities such as health clubs, gyms, functional training studios, swimming pools, community facilities and outdoor recreational parks.

Students that obtain this level of competency are able to train personal training clients in a one-on-one setting, which includes kids and older population.

Eligibility

Students must;

• Be 16 years of age or over
• Have successfully completed the pre-requisite units in Certificate 3
• Hold a current 1st Aid certificate
• Hold a current CPR certificate
• Have access to a gym to complete the practical assessments.
• Have access to the internet

Delivery

The Certificate 4 In Fitness qualification is delivered through a blended learning approach that combines online home study and support and guidance from your very own tutor every step of the way.

You have the option of completing the SIS40215 certification completely online, or by attending our campus on the Sunshine coast for 50-hours of practical hands on training.

If you already hold the Certificate 3 in Fitness qualification, the price for the Certificate 4 Master Functional Trainer is $2450.

The Certificate 3 In Fitness and Certificate 4 Master Functional Trainer combined is $4450.

Option #2: Face-To-Face

If you already hold the Certificate 3 in Fitness qualification, the price for the Certificate 4 Master Functional Trainer is $2950.

The Certificate 3 in Fitness and Certificate 4 Master Functional Trainer combined is $5450.

Pre Requisites

Entry to this qualification is open to individuals who hold a Certificate 3 in Fitness (SIS30315) or equivalent certificate and are recognised as competent through a recognised training program or recognition process against the following units of competency:
