Mace and club training builds grip strength, core strength, shoulder strength, mobility, and stability. They can be used for full body workouts that work multiple planes of movement. The tractional force is also excellent for decompressing joints and lengthening connective tissue.
Yes, much like any other strength training, you will build muscle training with a club and mace. They are a versatile training tool that can be used in a number of ways. For example traditional mace exercises like the 360 and 10-to-2, offset exercises that challenge the body unilaterally and full body flow workouts.
The club and mace are fantastic for working the shoulders, forearms and core. The mace can also be used for lower body exercises like squats, lunges and deadlifts. They are both versatile training tools that can be used to work the entire body.
You probably can, but it’s not what it’s designed for. If you would like to slam a tyre we recommend using one our steel maces.
For females we recommend 3kg, for males we recommend 4kg. Because the Maverick Pros are adjustable you can start light to perfect your form, then increase the load gradually once you master the skill of training with leverage.
No it doesn’t. However, the mace can be fitted with any standard 51mm (2″) weight plate. Or, our fractional weights system.
Each Maverick Pro handle comes with one stainless steel collar already fitted, that’s the only collar you’ll need.
We’ve tested the Maverick Pro with loads up to 40kg (88lbs), but it’s capable of holding even more if required.

Verified ownerReally well made, the rubber coating on the head is a nice touch. The Torque is the right length for me at 6’1″ for a 2 handed clubbell program. It gives me just enough ground clearance when doing side-to-side swings, inside and outside circles, etc.
Verified ownerThe Maverick Torque Pro does have it pros and cons, but for me the deciding factor was the shorter handle and the ability to travel easier with it. I’m only 153cm, so with the 4kg mace the handle is already up to my chest so when choking up the handle then makes it difficultto do some of the movements. With the Torque I can now add weight as needed and not have to worry about the handle being to long.

However the collars provided were standard and did not secure the plates, which slips when in use.
However as soon as I advised Dan, he acknowledged the issue and they are in the process of have screw and lock collars made, but he sent me a set of Marcy collars and they work a treat with heavy weight.
