Top 9 Steel Club Holding Positions

I bought a couple of these a little while back. I’m very, very happy with the way they are balanced and swing, especially with Inside-Ouside circles/180s. For those familiar with CMA they feel now unlike some heavier Daos. Very portable, will fit in a regular backpack with out issues.

An extremely well constructed steel club that should last forever! The shape, finish and diameter of the grip fits my hands well and provides positive control. I started incorporating clubs into my training regime about 9 months ago to assist with some minor shoulder issues and provide workout variety. The clubs are fun to use, have expanded my range of movement and strength, and I’m looking forward to using them for a very long time.

I have started to use steel clubs in conjunction with kettlebells and dumbbells during a workout. These clubs are very well made and balanced. Take note of the weight guide on the website. These are a different experience altogether with a whole lot more going on. This weight is half the kettlebell weight for single arm work but feels so much more heavier. DF offer a very good product. The shipping was fast.

The 8kg club is well designed and has quality powder coat that is grippy enough to use without loading on a tonne of chalk. Along with the kettlebells I highly recommend them.

I didn’t get the 12kg club in the end. I swapped that for the Torque bamboo club, which arrived yesterday. I went out and bought some weights for it today and gave it a go.

Quality is good just the grip could be nicer feel rubber would be great. I wrapped it with tennis racket grip.

It’s really good. Worth the money I spent. Although the 8 kg steel club didn’t work well for me as it is a little bit heavy, I exchanged it for a 2 kg and it’s just perfect for me as I can handle with my forearms. Perfect. I particularly like that there is space for both hands to grip the club evenly. The textured surface helps with that too.

The craftsmanship of the club is phenomenal. The powder coating feels nice in the hand, and the rings along the barrel adds a pleasant aesthetic touch to it.

The club is top notch. It’s constructed as advertised out of one piece of metal, and the grip is great with a textured powder coating that doesn’t slip with a sweaty hand.
The exercises as described by Dan are perfect and easy to follow. I purchased the club to strengthen a long-injured shoulder (30+ years). Make no mistake though if you have a shoulder injury that hasn’t recovered don’t step into it immediately, it is an advanced piece of equipment and I have only used it after having a year’s worth of physiotherapy and conditioning to get me to the point where I was ready to take the next step.
At 4kg it was spot on as described for my strength range, any lighter would not be effective for me (I bench 95kg at 8 reps and 12 rep 5kg weighted wide grip chins).

I’m in love with these clubbells. They provide you with exercises that can’t be done with other types of weights. I also train with gymnastic rings, kettlebells and parallettes, and find the clubbells slot in nicely. They are a perfect complement to existing workouts, or a perfectly good workout on their own.

I wanna say this might be the perfect weight for a single club (for me, anyway) easy enough to move but makes you work for every swing. As with all the other maces, its grippy but wont shred your hands and it’s amazing quality.

Brilliant quality, and a great workout. I was surprised that I could just jump straight onto it without working up in weight ranges. So I’ve been using it to progress to using my beastly 25kg Mace.

what an amazing tool for shoulder stability. Im still not up to using theses all the time. im still working on my form with the 2kg. 4kg doesn’t seem like much but its heavy for me.

A lot heavier than expected but it’s perfect for two hand (I weigh about 100kg and have been training powerlifting style for the last 10 years). Tutorials on this site is great.
