The steel club rotational torch press takes the standard torch press into the transverse plane. This movement can be performed with a single club, doubles and as an alternating double club movement.

Teaching Points

  1. Hold the club/s in the order position.
  2. Keep your core braced and shoulders packed down throughout the movement.
  3. Place your thumb on the back of the handle for extra support.
  4. Rotate the hips to one side and pivot the back foot.
  5. Press the club forward and upward as if your screwing it into the ceiling, lock out the arm/s at the top of the movement.
  6. Pause and then activate the lats to draw the club/s back into the order position.
  7. Repeat on the other side.

Common Problems & Solutions

Error: Not having full control of the club.
Correction: Choke up on the club if required.
