Overview
The steel club rotational torch press takes the standard torch press into the transverse plane. This movement can be performed with a single club, doubles and as an alternating double club movement.
Teaching Points
- Hold the club/s in the order position.
- Keep your core braced and shoulders packed down throughout the movement.
- Place your thumb on the back of the handle for extra support.
- Rotate the hips to one side and pivot the back foot.
- Press the club forward and upward as if your screwing it into the ceiling, lock out the arm/s at the top of the movement.
- Pause and then activate the lats to draw the club/s back into the order position.
- Repeat on the other side.
Common Problems & Solutions
Error: Not having full control of the club.
Correction: Choke up on the club if required.
