Hi There!
Dan here from Dangerously Fit – welcome to this months December newsletter.
This will be our last newsletter of 2013 – so a quick thank you to all our awesome DF members for choosing to train with us and allowing us trainers to do something we love… getting you in killer shape and watching your transformations take place in body and mind.
It’s been a crazy couple of months here at DF, with the 6 Week Body, Tough Mudder, True Grit, Spartan, DF Elite and heaps of other stuff going on… so I’m looking forward to taking a month off in Bali for a well earned rest.
But, do not worry… I’ll be leaving you in the capable of hands of our top DF trainers to keep you in shape for the remainder of 2013.
I’ll be back again early January with heaps of new training programs… taking your fitness levels to new heights.
Here’s a quick round up of what’s been happening at DF…

DF Elite
Tough Mudder was a fantastic day with the most hardcore bunch of Mudders in OZ… ‘The Dangerous Mudders’ smashed the obstacle course!
Incredible teamwork, heaps of fun, lot’s of laughs, a few bruises… and a BIG celebration afterwards!
Our next DF Elite 1one week training program will commence late January… we’ll be training for two events – The Spartan Race and Tough Mudder.
The classes will be held on Saturday mornings @ 7am – 8.30am mostly in Sydney Eastern Suburbs, with 1 session at the Cronulla sand dunes and two weekend away camping/training trips planned for Kangaroo Valley and the Central Coast to make use of the rough terrain and natures cross country obstacles.
The training program is free to all DF members and $297 for non-members, if you would like to join the DF Elite team be sure to email admin(at) dangerouslyfit.com.au to secure your spot. Numbers are strictly limited to the first 35 people to register.
Xmas Workout
Part of Dangerously Fit tradition is the end of year workout, each year we gather all our Sydney groups for one big end of year team training session. The workout will be held at Centennial Park this Saturday at 7am with a free breakfast after the workout, please feel free to bring friends and family – the more the merrier! Check the Map below…

CEO Corner (Chief Entertainment Officer)
It has been a busy few weeks on the social side here at DF HQ. The Banff Mountain Film Festival was our first stop one week ago. Everyone who attended came away thinking ‘WOW’ these folk really do make you think about how we can push ourselves to amazing things. Of course that is evident in some of the simply amazing results from the recent 6-week challenge and numerous members completing Tough Mudder and Spartan.
There was something for everyone crazy boarding / skiing, white water canoeing, wing suits & rock climbing to name but a few. Check out the Facebook page for ideas for the next event we can do.
Then this weekend just past was our first weekend away where we headed up to The Gold Coast. All the prep had been taken care of, the Saturday morning workout created, restaurants booked and a house big enough to hold a hundred people to host us sorted! Alas the Sydney weather conspired against Dan & Emma who despite making every effort and exploring every available avenue, bar driving, were thwarted at every turn and didn’t make it! However they were not far from our thoughts as we managed to incorporate workouts into most places we went to.
We were lucky as we were the only flight to arrive into the Goldcoast from Sydney that night. Friday consisted of dinner and a few drinks just to get a feel for the local scene. As you will see though we used every opportunity to get some press-ups, pull-ups or dips in that we could, the fitness professionals that we are! Saturday saw an early morning breakfast and an intense work out, well that is what we told Dan anyway and nobody can prove we didn’t 😉 The day was then spent at the Waterpark where we rediscovered our inner child! The Aqua Loop & Tornado being firm favourites with all!
Once again challenges for last down each ride meant there were plenty of Burpees handed out.
After that we had a big BBQ and a few drinks to help re-hydrate ourselves after a day in the sun! Our lovely landlady who had bought us breakfast and given us her car went above and beyond by telling us we could help ourselves to the spirits in the press, all 30 bottles of them!! We didn’t need to be told twice and an especially potent punch had soon been created, and just as quickly despatched!
Another night out with the girls loving the attention from one particular ‘schoolie’ who looked about 12 if a day!
Sunday was all about recovery and a ‘quick’ trip to the beach – I say quick as we lasted about 2 mins there in the heat before we decided that was enough! All in all a great weekend that all thoroughly enjoyed. Next up will be an activity based weekend away which I have promised Emma will be within NSW so they can drive! So watch this space in the New Year.
Alas I won’t be around to organise Christmas drinks as I am off to the sunny climes of Ireland for a month next week. Needless to say you won’t need my help to all have a wonderful Christmas & New Year.
Look forward to seeing all the old and hopefully some new faces at the events next year.
