Insta PostsI read an interesting article this morning.

It said the average person gains 3kg of fat between December 15th and January 2nd.

If this is true, that’s an extra 23,100 calories consumed in just over 2-weeks!

Which is the equivalent to 77 McDonalds cheeseburgers.

That’s great news if you’re a Sumo, but not for the rest of us.

What can you do to survive the silly season without ending up looking like Santa Claus himself?

There’s no way to avoid over indulgence altogether, some commitments are unavoidable, and after all, Xmas is all about enjoying time with friends and family.

So, here’s a couple of tips to help make it through.

If you have a big day – don’t beat yourself up… sh#ts gonna happen no matter what, but try to plan for it ahead of time.

Instead of looking at your daily calorie intake… go weekly.

Then, if you do end up smashing down half a turkey, 5 mince pies and a couple bottles of wine in one sitting.

All you have to do the following day is consume 50% of the calories you would on any normal day.

That way your weekly calorie intake will be held in check.

And…  the holidays are not an excuse to stop training.

Without work commitments getting in your way, there’s even more time for you to work on your fitness goals.

If you normally train 3 x 45min sessions per week, aim for 6 x 45min sessions per week.

This way you’ll not only survive the holidays, you’ll start 2019 a frickin machine!

If all else fails and you do pack on a few extra kilos… have no fear!

The Dangerously Fit 6 Week Body Challenges kicks off on January 7th and you’ll melt off those mince pies in no time.
