The Indian club inside outside mill where we perform an inside mill with one arm and an outside mill with the other arm.

I’ve seen this movement called a few different names but I’ve called it the inside outside mill so its consistent with all of the exercises that came before this.

Instructions:

  1. Begin with one club in the front stack position (elbows tucked to ribs, wrist is neutral, knuckles facing up). And the other club in the sword in sheath position.
  2. Stand tall and relaxed. Outside elbow circle the club that is in front stack to sword in sheath position, and inside elbow circle the club that is in the sword in sheath position to the front stack.
  3. Cast the clubs to the side so that they’re parallel and swing a full 180 degrees to the other side of the body.
  4. Catch the clubs in the start position with one club in the front stack and the other in the sword in sheath position.
  5. Pause and check you’re in the correct position. With one club in the front stack position and one club in the sword in sheath position. Both clubs should be swinging parallel to each other.
  6. As you become proficient in the movement you can increase your speed, every now and then, stop and make sure your timing is correct.
  7. Then, perform the movement going in the other direction.
