In today’s video I’m covering the Indian Clubs Double Outside Mill.

It’s the same movement we covered in video #3 – the single outside mill, but this time with two clubs.

This movement is excellent for building strong, mobile shoulders and a strong grip.

Instructions:

  1. Begin with the clubs in the front stack position (elbow tucked to ribs, wrist is neutral, knuckles facing up). Stand tall and relaxed.
  2. We’re going to initiate the movement with outside elbow circles which takes the clubs from the front of the body to the back of the body, to go to the ‘sword in sheath’ position.
  3. Once we’re in the ‘sword in sheath’ position, cast the club into the ‘Y’ position (club should be on index finger)
  4. Drop the club and return the club to the ‘front stack’ position.
  5. Be sure to take the club through the full range of movement and switch which hand crosses in front on every rep.
  6. When performing the outside elbow circle, the wrist stays in a fixed neutral position.
  7. As you become proficient in the movement you can increase your speed, every now and then, stop and make sure you’re performing all the movements; front stack, outside elbow circle, Y, swing, back to front stack.
