STRUCTURE
PART 1 — From Tests to Patterns
Start here:
Assessment gives information.
Profiling gives direction.
Then state:
One test means little.
A pattern across pillars reveals imbalance.
This reframes assessment as pattern recognition.
PART 2 — Common Structural Profiles
Now walk through examples cleanly.
1️⃣ Force Dominant, Range Limited
Profile:
• High load capacity
• Limited shoulder or hip arcs
• Restricted rotation
• Grind-dominant movement
• Deceleration issues
Interpretation:
Force outpacing range and control.
Risk:
Strong but structurally tilted.
2️⃣ Range Dominant, Force Weak
Profile:
• Deep squat unloaded
• Large joint arcs
• Struggles under moderate load
• Poor end-range strength
• Shaky stabilization
Interpretation:
Access without ownership.
Risk:
Mobile but fragile.
3️⃣ Control Weak Under Speed
Profile:
• Good slow reps
• Collapse during acceleration
• Poor deceleration
• Timing breakdown
• Over-bracing or over-relaxing
Interpretation:
Static stability present.
Dynamic control missing.
Risk:
Organized only in predictable environments.
4️⃣ Bilateral Strong, Unilateral Unstable
Profile:
• Strong squat / press
• Hip shift under split stance
• Lateral collapse under single-arm load
• Grip breakdown under asymmetry
Interpretation:
Symmetry masking imbalance.
Risk:
Compensation under uneven load.
5️⃣ Linear Strong, Rotational Weak
Profile:
• Strong sagittal lifts
• Limited transverse force
• Poor rotational deceleration
• Avoidance of rotation
Interpretation:
Plane-specific imbalance.
Risk:
Reduced adaptability.
PART 3 — Dominance vs Deficit
Clarify something important:
Not all imbalance is weakness.
Sometimes:
The issue is dominance.
Force dominant
Control dominant
Sagittal dominant
Then state:
Durability declines when one quality consistently overrides the others.
That reinforces the Triangle.
PART 4 — The Four Structural Archetypes (Optional but Powerful)
You can condense profiles into four broad categories:
- Force Dominant
- Range Dominant
- Control Deficient
- Balanced but Underdeveloped
This makes programming easier later.
