Theme: Internal instability reveals real control.

🎯 Teaching Objective

By the end of this lesson, the coach should:

  • Understand what defines live load mechanically
  • Recognize how shifting mass changes force behaviour
  • Understand the demand for reflexive stabilization
  • Identify which durability pillars are primarily stressed
  • Distinguish live load from unstable surface training

STRUCTURE

PART 1 — What Defines Live Load

Live load is defined by an internally shifting centre of mass.

The load does not remain stable once force is introduced.

Instead:

• The internal mass continues moving

• The centre of mass shifts unpredictably

• The load creates delayed force

Examples:

  • Sandbags
  • Water bags
  • Certain unstable implements

The key distinction:

The instability is inside the load — not under the feet.

PART 2 — Mechanical Characteristics

Live load:

• Shifts internally during movement

• Creates micro-perturbations

• Requires continuous adjustment

• Increases reflexive stabilisation demand

• Amplifies deceleration demand

Because the load continues moving after you stop, the system must absorb and reorganize force constantly.

This exposes gaps in dynamic control.

PART 3 — Pillar Demand Profile

Primary Pillar Stress → Control (Reflexive)

Secondary Pillar Stress → Force Absorption

Tertiary Demand → Active Range under load

Live load amplifies:

• Reactive stabilization

• Micro-adjustment timing

• Deceleration control

It exposes false stability.

If control only exists in predictable environments, live load reveals it immediately.

PART 4 — Structural Insight

Live load does not primarily increase maximal force.

It increases:

• Reflexive control

• Force absorption

• Stability under unpredictability

This is internal instability — not unstable surface training.

That distinction matters.
